Illinois Real Estate Attorney

Over the years, many people asked me why I became a real estate attorney. It is not hard for me
to give an answer to this question. I love real estate law and history. If you go down in the history
of law, you can see that the English law and then the American law grew in response to questions
and concerns relating to the ownership and the inheritance of land.

My focus is on helping clients acquire and protect their real estate properties. My legal services
include reviewing and explaining the purchase contract, preparing and negotiating modifications
in the contract, and explaining closing documentation at the closing of the purchase.

For me, it is very important to help the clients understand the terms of the purchase contract so
that they can have a clear picture of the requirements and challenges of the closing process. I use
the attorney approval process to get as much information as possible about the property. I also
make sure that the clients get correct credit for the real estate taxes. I always check if the
property is subject to tax exemptions and/or reassessments. I always address the tax exemptions
and reassessments in the attorney approval process in order to prevent any significant issues for
the clients after the closing. If the clients take on a mortgage loan to finance the purchase
process, I closely monitor the loan process with the loan officer to make sure that I know when
and how to get an extension of the mortgage contingency if it is needed.

My role as a real estate attorney is to help the clients get to the closing table in an efficient and
safe way. The closing may be a stressful event for the clients if they do not understand the
process and the documentation required. I find great joy when I am able to turn a stressful
closing into a pleasant experience. Attending the closings in person and explaining all the
documentation that the clients need to sign and complete is my priority. I want the clients to feel
comfortable about the closing process. They may even enjoy it if they know that they have
control over it. A smooth closing requires a lot of preparation, but it is worth it.
